Candidate Statement
“I am running for school board because I am committed to public education and I believe my experience will be of value to our local school district. My leadership in education, business and non-profits has prepared me with skills of facilitation and fiscal responsibility. My years as an educator and time at CSU Monterey Bay preparing future teachers give me a depth of understanding about our school system and the ways our children learn. It is my time to give back to my local community. I will listen to our students, parents and teachers, and to the latest research on best practices in education in order to make informed decisions as a trustee. My qualifications and demonstrated commitment to both Aromas and San Juan Bautista communities gives me the unique ability to advocate for the best 21st Century education for our children.”
